What is a digital certificate, exactly?
A digital certificate is a verifiable, shareable credential that proves someone earned, completed, or achieved something. Unlike a static PDF, a CertSeal credential has its own URL, a tamper-proof QR code, and a permanent verification record — so anyone can prove it's real in seconds.
Can I issue thousands of certificates at once?
Yes. Upload a CSV (or connect Google Sheets, Zapier, or our API) and CertSeal personalizes, generates, and delivers every credential automatically. We routinely process bulk issuances of 100,000+ certificates without breaking a sweat.
Can recipients add my certificates to LinkedIn?
Yes — recipients can add credentials to LinkedIn's Licenses and Certifications section in one click, or share to their feed (and other social networks) directly from the recipient page.
How long does it take to set up?
Most teams issue their first batch of real certificates within an hour of signing up. Import your template (or pick one from our library), upload a recipient list, send. That's it.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — 100 certificates a year, no credit card. You get one batch, CSV import, email delivery, and Zapier, which is enough to run a small cohort end to end. Paid plans start at $39/month when you need more volume, unlimited batches, and the REST API.
Do I need design skills?

How does someone verify a certificate I issued?
Every credential gets its own verification URL and a dynamic QR code. Opening or scanning it shows who issued the certificate, when, and to whom — read straight from the issuance record, so there's nothing to take on trust. It works from a printed copy too, which is what makes the QR code worth printing.
Can I revoke a certificate after it's been sent?
Yes. Revocation and re-issuance are built in, so a credential sent by mistake stops verifying as valid and a corrected one can go out in its place. The verification page always reflects a credential's current status, not the status it had on the day it was issued.
Can I automate issuance from the tools I already use?
Yes. Connect Zoom and attendance certificates go out when a meeting or webinar ends. Use Zapier to trigger issuance from forms, CRMs, and spreadsheets across 5,000+ apps. Or call the REST API directly and subscribe to signed webhooks for issued, sent, failed, and viewed events.
What happens to my certificates if I cancel?
They stay verifiable forever — that's a promise to your recipients, not something tied to your subscription. You keep read-only access to your dashboard and can re-activate any time.
Is recipient data handled securely?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on enterprise cloud infrastructure, and our information security program is aligned with ISO 27001 and SOC 2. For customers who need one, we sign a DPA covering GDPR, UK GDPR, and Singapore's PDPA.
